Warre’s Warrior is the oldest branded Port in the world, with origins dating back to the 18th century. This Finest Reserve Port is a premium ruby style, blended from top-quality wines sourced from Warre’s own Douro Valley vineyards. The wines are aged for up to four years in seasoned oak vats, allowing them to soften and harmonise while retaining the deep colour and vibrancy of youthful fruit. It’s made to be smooth, rich, and ready to enjoy upon release.
Bouquet Bold and expressive, with aromas of blackberry compote, plum, and blackcurrant. Underlying notes of liquorice, cocoa, and sweet spice round out a warm, inviting nose.
Palate Lush and full-bodied, offering generous dark fruit flavours of cherry and damson, layered with hints of chocolate, clove, and dried fig. The texture is velvety, with fine tannins and a long, warming finish.
Food Pairing Perfect with blue cheese, dark chocolate, Christmas cake, or nutty desserts. Also excellent with aged cheddar or simply as a fireside sipper. Serve slightly chilled.
Cellaring Ready to drink now and will hold its character for several weeks after opening when sealed and stored in a cool place. No need to decant.
