Warre’s Otima 20 Year Old Tawny Port is a refined and approachable expression of aged tawny, crafted from high-quality grapes grown in the rugged Douro Valley. Aged for an average of two decades in seasoned oak casks, it undergoes a gentle oxidative process that softens the fruit and develops rich, nutty complexity. Otima is bottled in a modern, clear-glass format that showcases its natural amber hue and represents Warre’s vision of contemporary port elegance.
Bouquet Beautifully aromatic, with notes of dried apricot, fig, and orange peel, layered with roasted nuts, caramel, and a touch of cinnamon. Hints of toffee and almond skin add depth and warmth.
Palate Smooth and balanced with a silky texture. Flavours of walnut, burnt sugar, and dried stone fruits glide across the palate, lifted by bright acidity that keeps it lively and fresh. The finish is long, warming, and gently spiced—offering richness without heaviness.
Food Pairing Serve slightly chilled with spiced nuts, aged Gouda, fig and walnut tart, or sticky toffee pudding. Also delicious with crème brûlée or simply sipped slowly as a digestif.
Cellaring Ready to enjoy now. Once opened, it will stay fresh for up to 4–6 weeks if stored cool and sealed. Unopened, it will keep for years thanks to its oxidative maturity.
