Clos des Pierres, or “place of stones,” refers to the river stones that dominate this single vineyard in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys. Fruit was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, then wild fermented in French oak (20% new). The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation and was aged on lees for complexity and texture.
Bouquet Aromas of white nectarine, citrus blossom and roasted almond emerge first, followed by flinty minerality and subtle struck match.
Palate Elegant and finely textured, the palate opens with bright citrus and stone fruit, underpinned by saline minerality and creamy oak. A long, precise finish speaks of both vineyard and craftsmanship.
Food Pairing A beautiful match with seared scallops, lemon roasted chicken or triple cream brie. Let its balance and elegance shine with refined yet simple fare.
