The Hunting Lodge Seasonal Range Lagrein 2021 is a unique New Zealand expression of the classic northern Italian grape. Grown in Marlborough’s sun-drenched vineyards, the fruit was hand-harvested and matured in seasoned oak to preserve vibrant fruit character, freshness and varietal purity. This limited-edition release captures the bold yet elegant style of Lagrein.

Bouquet
Fragrant and intense with notes of ripe blackberry, dark cherry, violet, baking spices, and a subtle earthy richness.

Palate
Medium to full-bodied with juicy dark fruits, fine tannins, lively acidity, and a long, savoury, textured finish. Bold, vibrant and exceptionally well-balanced.

Food Pairing
Perfect with wild venison, rosemary-crusted lamb, mushroom and truffle risotto, or spicy Italian sausage pizza.

Cellaring
Delicious now after a short decant, but will continue to evolve beautifully through to 2028, gaining savoury depth.
