Sourced exclusively from the highly regarded Jackson’s Block in Terra Sancta’s Bannockburn vineyard, Terra Sancta Jackson’s Block Pinot Noir 2022 showcases the unique terroir of Central Otago. Hand-harvested from mature vines, the fruit is wild fermented and aged in French oak, producing a layered, complex wine that reflects the character and beauty of its single vineyard origin.
Bouquet Intense and aromatic with notes of dark cherry, blackberry, wild thyme, and a subtle thread of earthy spice and violet.
Palate Rich and refined with concentrated red and black berry fruits, savoury spice, fine-grained tannins, and a mineral-driven structure. A silky texture carries through to a long, elegant, and site-expressive finish.
Food Pairing Ideal with venison, lamb shoulder, truffle risotto, or wild mushroom dishes. Also excellent alongside aged hard cheeses or chargrilled vegetables.
Cellaring Beautiful now but will continue to evolve through to 2030, gaining greater complexity with age. Decant if serving young to allow the full aromatics to unfold.
Interesting Fact Jackson’s Block is one of Terra Sancta’s most celebrated parcels, delivering Pinot Noir that captures the dramatic soils and intensity of Bannockburn with every vintage.
