Terra Sancta First Vines Pinot Noir 2022 is sourced from the original plantings on Terra Sancta’s Felton Road estate in Bannockburn, Central Otago. These mature vines, grown on schist-rich soils, produce low yields of highly concentrated fruit. Wild fermentation and ageing in carefully selected French oak barrels capture the depth, complexity, and distinctive character of this historic vineyard.
Bouquet Perfumed and layered with dark cherry, wild strawberry, rose petals, dried herbs, and a touch of smoky spice.
Palate Silky and structured with vibrant red and black fruits, fine-grained tannins, and a mineral edge. A lively acidity and savoury complexity drive through to a long, textured finish full of Bannockburn personality.
Food Pairing Perfect with French duck magret, Italian porcini mushroom risotto, New Zealand lamb rack, or a wild venison pie. Also excellent with aged cheeses and earthy vegetarian dishes.
Cellaring Outstanding now but will evolve beautifully through to 2035, gaining even greater depth and elegance. Decant if enjoying young to fully open the wine.
