Te Mata Estate Alma Pinot Noir 2021 is crafted from Te Mata’s best Pinot Noir parcels, grown on hillside vineyards in Havelock North. Hand-harvested and sorted with precision, the fruit is wild fermented and aged in finest French oak. Alma represents the pinnacle of Te Mata’s Pinot Noir, showcasing balance, complexity, and grace with Hawke’s Bay’s unmistakable charm.

Bouquet
Elegant and lifted with aromas of dark cherry, red plum, rose petals, dried herbs and a hint of baking spice.

Palate
Silky and structured with layers of red berry fruits, soft savoury notes, fine-grained tannins, and a lively freshness. The finish is long, pure, and beautifully detailed.

Food Pairing
Perfect with slow-cooked beef brisket, herbed roast chicken, beetroot and goat’s cheese salad, or a simple chargrilled vegetable platter. Also pairs well with a rustic pork terrine.

Cellaring
Superb now but will develop gracefully through to 2035, gaining deeper complexity and richness. Decant for an hour if enjoying young.
