Made exclusively from Trebbiano di Soave, an ancient and noble grape variety distinct from other Trebbiano types, Massifitti 2019 is grown on volcanic soils in the hills above Soave, Veneto. Suavia’s commitment to heritage varieties and minimal intervention winemaking results in a pure, terroir-driven white. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and aged on lees for 15 months, it offers a structured, mineral expression of one of Italy’s oldest white grapes.
Bouquet Subtle and refined with notes of citrus peel, white peach and almond blossom. Hints of flint, fennel and sea breeze lift from the glass with gentle intensity.
Palate Dry, textural and elegant. Lemon zest, green apple and chamomile meet stony minerality and a fine, chalky finish. The acidity is vibrant but integrated, giving the wine poise and longevity.
Food Pairing Excellent with grilled fish, shellfish, risotto primavera or roasted fennel. Also lovely with soft cheeses, citrusy salads or herb-crusted chicken.
Cellaring Enjoy now for its clarity and freshness, or cellar through 2027 to allow more savoury depth and texture to emerge.
Interesting Fact Trebbiano di Soave is genetically closer to Verdicchio than other Trebbiano clones, and Suavia’s revival of this rare variety has helped redefine the region’s white wine identity.
