Winemaking Stolen Kiss Rosé 2023 is made from 100% Central Otago Pinot Noir grapes, originally destined for Rockburn’s acclaimed reds. A saignée-style rosé, the juice is gently drained from the Pinot Noir after brief skin contact, then fermented cool in stainless steel to lock in vibrancy and fruit purity. The result is a dry, juicy and elegant wine with vivid personality.
Bouquet Seductive and fragrant with aromas of wild strawberry, pink watermelon, crushed raspberry and rose petal. A hint of red apple and citrus zest adds lift.
Palate Vibrant and mouth-watering, the palate shows layers of ripe summer berries, blood orange and a touch of Turkish delight. Silky in texture, with zippy acidity and a crisp, dry finish that lingers with fruit and finesse.
Food Pairing Delicious with grilled prawns, Thai salads, or watermelon and feta. Also perfect for picnic fare, sushi, or soft cheeses like brie and chèvre.
Cellaring Made to be enjoyed young, fresh and lively—best within 1–2 years of vintage.
Interesting Fact This rosé earned its name when Rockburn’s winemakers “stole” a little juice from their premium Pinot Noir ferment and discovered it was too delicious not to bottle on its own—thus, Stolen Kiss was born.
