Plantation Pineapple Rum—officially known as Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple—is a tribute to the character Reverend Stiggins from Charles Dickens’ Pickwick Papers, who famously enjoyed pineapple rum. This expression is crafted by infusing ripe Queen Victoria pineapples into Plantation’s blend of pot- and column-distilled rums from Barbados and Jamaica. The rind is macerated and distilled, while the fruit is separately infused—then the two components are reunited and rested, allowing a layered and natural tropical flavour to emerge. No artificial flavourings are added—only real pineapple and expert craftsmanship.
Bouquet Aromas of grilled pineapple, toffee, and tropical fruit leap from the glass, followed by notes of banana flambé, clove, and a touch of oak. There’s a warmth and generosity that’s instantly inviting.
Palate Smooth, juicy and full of flavour. Candied pineapple and caramelised sugar sit at the core, with layers of vanilla, nutmeg and citrus peel giving depth and lift. A subtle molasses richness brings it all together, leading to a long and fruity finish with just the right amount of spice.
Food Pairing Perfect sipped neat or over ice, but truly shines in tropical cocktails—try it in a Piña Colada, Mai Tai, or Daiquiri with a pineapple twist. Also delightful with grilled pork, coconut desserts, or sticky pineapple cake.
Cellaring Designed to be enjoyed now for its vibrant fruit character, but the natural infusion and careful ageing mean it’ll hold beautifully for 2–3 years after opening.
