Akitu Pinot Noir Blanc 2023 is a rare expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir, vinified as a white wine. Grown on the Akitu estate vineyard in Wanaka, the fruit is hand-picked and gently whole bunch pressed to minimise colour and tannin extraction. Fermentation occurs in a mix of stainless steel and seasoned oak barrels, enhancing complexity and texture while preserving purity and precision.
Bouquet Delicate and perfumed with notes of white cherry, red apple, citrus blossom and fresh herbs. Hints of almond and flint lend subtle savoury lift.
Palate Elegant and finely textured with flavours of pear, pink grapefruit, lemon peel and wild strawberry. Silky and dry, with bright acidity and a mineral finish that lingers with poise and freshness.
Food Pairing Superb with fresh seafood, chicken salad, grilled courgette or soft goat’s cheese. A versatile wine that bridges the gap between white and rosé with grace.
