Pencarrow is the second label of Palliser Estate, offering premium-quality wines with an approachable, fruit-forward style. The 2023 Pinot Gris is made from hand-selected fruit grown in the Martinborough Terrace, fermented in stainless steel with a portion aged on lees to build mouthfeel and texture. A crisp, dry style with a focus on clarity, balance, and drinkability.
Bouquet
Fresh and lifted, with notes of ripe nashi pear, white peach, and citrus blossom. A subtle thread of honeysuckle and soft spice adds warmth and aromatic charm.
Palate
Medium-bodied and gently textured, the palate reveals juicy stone fruit and poached pear flavours, underpinned by refreshing acidity and a clean, dry finish. Lees contact brings a subtle creamy softness, while the overall impression is bright, balanced, and effortlessly enjoyable.
