Pellegrino Marsala Fine is made in Sicily using the traditional Marsala method, blending Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia grapes. After fermentation, the wine is fortified with grape spirit and aged in oak barrels to develop a rich, mellow character. This ‘Fine’ style is the entry-level category for Marsala, typically aged for at least one year, offering balanced sweetness, gentle oxidation and soft complexity.
Bouquet Warm and inviting with notes of toffee, walnut, dried apricot and caramel. A touch of spice and orange peel lifts the nose with subtle sweetness.
Palate Smooth and medium-sweet with flavours of golden raisin, burnt sugar, nutmeg and almond. The finish is soft, rounded and gently spiced, with a lingering nutty warmth.
Food Pairing Perfect for cooking or sipping. Pair with tiramisu, nut-based desserts, sharp cheeses or as a glaze for roasted meats. Also a traditional base for classic dishes like chicken or veal Marsala.
