Montenegro Amaro

Crafted from a secret blend of over 40 botanicals collected from around the globe, Montenegro Amaro embodies over 125 years of rich history and tradition. First concocted in 1885 by the esteemed Italian spirits manufacturer, Stanislao Cobianchi, this delicate amber-hued liqueur, once known as Elisir Lungavita, swiftly garnered acclaim. Renamed in honour of Princess Elena of Montenegro upon her marriage to Prince Vittorio Emanuele III, it carries a regal legacy. Montenegro Amaro tantalises the palate with a balanced interplay of sweetness and bitterness, offering notes of rose petals, dried orange peel, and cherry, complemented by a subtle earthy spice blend of cassia bark, allspice, coriander, and saffron, underscored by hints of black tea and tobacco. Its smooth, elegant bitterness leaves a lasting impression, inviting enjoyment straight, on the rocks, or as the cornerstone of the Montenegro 130 Cocktail, a harmonious fusion of tonic water, lime, brown sugar, and the storied liqueur itself.
