Nestled in Burgundy's Yonne department, the Petit-Chablis appellation lies to the north and northeast of Chablis. The vines grow on plateaus and gentle slopes, benefiting from the region’s unique terroir to produce wines of finesse and freshness.
Vinification & Ageing Alcoholic fermentation occurs in thermoregulated stainless steel vats, preserving the vibrant fruit character. The wine then undergoes 7 to 8 months of ageing on fine lees in stainless steel vats, which enhances its texture and depth.
Tasting Notes The nose is fresh, offering delicate scents of white flowers and citrus fruit, with subtle mineral undertones. On the palate, it is round and delectable, with a pleasing vivacity that invigorates the senses. The finish is clean and refreshing, a classic example of Petit-Chablis.
Serving Best served between 9 and 11°C (48-52°F), this wine is ideal for enjoying within 2 years to preserve its fruit-forward character.
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator "Made from grapes harvested in vineyards in the north and north-west of Chablis, it’s fermented and aged on its lees in stainless steel and – full of crunchy apple and zingy citrus – is fresh, lively and bone dry with just the faintest hint of honey. It’s textbook Petit-Chablis."
