Maker’s Mark is a handcrafted Kentucky straight bourbon made using red winter wheat in place of the more traditional rye grain. Distilled in small batches and aged in charred American oak barrels, it is known for its signature wax-dipped bottle and consistently smooth, rounded flavour. Each barrel is rotated by hand and aged to taste, not time, to ensure balance and character.
Aroma Sweet and inviting with notes of vanilla, honey, soft oak, and a gentle hint of citrus. Light floral tones and toasty grain aromas round out the nose.
Palate Smooth and approachable with flavours of caramel, vanilla, spiced fruit, and baking spice. The wheat in the mash bill lends a softer, creamier texture, making it a highly sippable bourbon with a sweet, warming finish.
Serving Suggestions Enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Mint Julep. Its gentle spice and sweetness also work beautifully in a Boulevardier.
Cellaring Best enjoyed fresh and open. Store upright in a cool, dark place and enjoy within two years of opening.
Interesting Fact The S IV stamp on each bottle honours the Samuels family’s fourth-generation distilling legacy. Every bottle of Maker’s Mark is still hand-dipped in red wax at the distillery in Loretto, Kentucky.
