Crafted by the Donaldson family of Pegasus Bay, Main Divide Riesling is grown in Waipara’s sheltered, north-facing vineyards. The 2023 vintage saw a long, temperate growing season allowing extended hang time and excellent flavour development. Fermented cool in stainless steel with a portion left off-dry to enhance texture and balance.
Bouquet Lime blossom, mandarin peel and honeysuckle leap from the glass, backed by delicate white florals and wet river stone.
Palate A vibrant burst of citrus and orchard fruit greets the palate, with layers of lemon, orange zest and green apple. The subtle sweetness is balanced by juicy acidity, finishing with a refreshing mineral streak.
Food Pairing Perfect with Thai green curry, pork dumplings or sushi. The touch of sweetness also makes it a fantastic match for creamy blue cheese.
Cellaring Delicious now, but will evolve gracefully over the next 5 to 7 years, developing classic toast and honey characters.
Interesting Fact Main Divide is named after the Southern Alps, which influence the unique microclimate of Waipara Valley, giving these wines their distinctive intensity and freshness.
