Mahi Sauvignon Blanc 2023 comes from carefully selected vineyard sites across Marlborough’s Wairau and Awatere Valleys. The fruit was hand-picked and each parcel fermented separately, using wild yeasts for complexity. A portion of the wine was aged in seasoned French oak barrels, building subtle texture and savoury depth. The result is a sophisticated, food-friendly expression that shows a more restrained, mineral-driven side of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Bouquet Aromatic yet refined, with notes of lime zest, grapefruit and white nectarine. Hints of lemongrass, fresh herbs and subtle florals lift the nose with poise.
Palate Dry and textural, with bright acidity and a chalky, elegant structure. Flavours of citrus and stone fruit are balanced by herbal notes and a mineral edge. The finish is long, clean and savoury.
Food Pairing Excellent with grilled seafood, goats’ cheese, Vietnamese salads or asparagus risotto. Also pairs beautifully with herbed chicken or fresh summer greens.
