Lustau Del Puerto Fino is aged in the port town of El Puerto de Santa María, one of the three traditional sherry towns in the Jerez triangle. Made from 100% Palomino Fino, this fino undergoes biological ageing under flor for an average of five years in seasoned American oak casks. The proximity to the sea lends a distinct saline edge and freshness to this bone-dry, elegantly structured style.
Bouquet Bright and savoury with aromas of green olive, sea breeze, almond and fresh dough. A subtle yeasty complexity adds depth to the fresh and lifted nose.
Palate Crisp and bone-dry with racy acidity and a clean, focused palate. Notes of lemon peel, raw almond and saline minerality carry through to a long, bracing finish.
Food Pairing Ideal as an aperitif with salted nuts, anchovies, oysters or jamón. Also perfect with sushi, grilled white fish or traditional Spanish tapas.
Cellaring Best enjoyed young and fresh. Once opened, keep sealed and refrigerated and consume within 1–2 weeks to retain its vibrant flor character.
