Crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico, Los Siete Misterios Doba-Yej is an artisanal mezcal made entirely from 100% Espadín agave using traditional methods. The name “Doba-Yej” comes from the Zapotec language, meaning Espadín. Cooked in underground pit ovens, naturally fermented, and double-distilled in copper pot stills, this mezcal offers a cleaner, brighter expression while maintaining the smoky soul of its heritage. Unaged and bottled at 44%, it’s vibrant, characterful, and approachable.
Bouquet Fresh and lifted. Notes of citrus blossom, green herbs, crushed stone, and soft smoke with a delicate floral undertone.
Palate Crisp and pure. Flavours of lime peel, white pepper, roasted agave, and gentle smoke glide across a mineral-driven palate. Smooth, clean finish with hints of earth and citrus oil.
Food Pairing Pair with ceviche, grilled prawns, fresh salsa, or goat cheese. Also excellent with citrus-forward cocktails like a Mezcal Margarita or Paloma.
Cellaring Enjoy fresh and vibrant now. Store upright in a cool, dark place. No ageing required—this mezcal is all about purity and terroir.
Interesting Fact Los Siete Misterios was founded by two brothers aiming to preserve the ancestral techniques of mezcal production. Doba-Yej stands out as their most accessible and cocktail-friendly release—crafted with tradition, but meant for today.
