Winemaking Loop Road Pinot Noir 2023 is crafted from hand-selected fruit grown in the high-altitude vineyards of Central Otago. The cool climate and long ripening season preserve vibrant acidity while allowing full flavour development. Fermented in small open-top vats with gentle plunging and matured in French oak, this is a beautifully balanced Pinot Noir that celebrates purity, texture and regional charm.
Bouquet Expressive and aromatic, with lifted notes of wild raspberry, cherry and red plum. Hints of rose petal, cinnamon and subtle oak spice bring softness and complexity.
Palate Juicy and silky, the palate delivers bright red berry flavours wrapped in fine tannins and gentle spice. Lively acidity brings freshness, while a touch of savoury oak frames a smooth, elegant finish.
Food Pairing Excellent with duck breast, mushroom risotto or grilled salmon. Also pairs beautifully with roast beetroot or creamy brie.
Cellaring Drinking wonderfully now, though it will evolve gracefully over the next 3–5 years.
Interesting Fact Named after one of the original farm tracks winding through Central Otago’s rugged terrain, Loop Road reflects the connection between land, legacy and local winemaking.
