Lillet Blanc is a classic French apéritif wine produced in Podensac, near Bordeaux, since 1872. It’s crafted from a blend of carefully selected white Bordeaux wines and citrus liqueurs made from macerated sweet and bitter oranges. The blend is aged in French oak to develop softness and complexity, resulting in a light, floral and citrus-forward drink that captures the elegance of southern France in every glass.
Bouquet Fresh and aromatic, with notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle, candied citrus peel and a touch of white peach. Light herbal and floral nuances lend refinement and balance.
Palate Smooth, gently sweet and delightfully refreshing. Flavours of orange marmalade, lime zest, apricot and honey are layered with subtle spice and soft acidity. The finish is long and slightly bitter, making it perfect as a pre-dinner sipper.
Food Pairing Serve chilled over ice with a slice of orange or cucumber, or top with soda or sparkling wine for a classic Lillet Spritz. Beautiful with goat cheese, smoked salmon, pâté, or citrus-dressed salads.
Cellaring Best enjoyed young and fresh. Store in the fridge after opening and consume within 3–4 weeks to preserve vibrancy.
Interesting Fact Lillet Blanc was famously a key ingredient in the original Vesper Martini, created by James Bond in Casino Royale. It’s also become a go-to ingredient in modern spritzes and low-alcohol cocktails thanks to its light profile and mixability.
