Winemaking
Kerpen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2020 is made from late-harvested grapes grown on the steep, slate-rich slopes of the iconic Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard in Germany’s Mosel Valley. The fruit is hand-picked with delicate ripeness, fermented slowly in stainless steel, and bottled with natural residual sugar for balance and longevity. A classic off-dry Mosel Riesling, made with elegance and precision.

Bouquet
Fragrant and alluring, with notes of ripe peach, green apple, citrus blossom and honeysuckle. A hint of crushed slate and lime zest gives a fresh, mineral lift.

Palate
Delicate yet vibrant, the palate balances juicy stone fruit and citrus with precise acidity. Flavours of apricot, mandarin and lemon curd glide across a lightly sweet mid-palate, finishing long and clean with wet stone minerality.

Food Pairing
A perfect match for spicy Thai or Indian curries, pork with apple, or glazed salmon. Also delicious with blue cheese or citrusy desserts.

Interesting Fact
The Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard is one of the Mosel’s most famous sites—named after the 19th-century sundial (sonnenuhr) built into the vineyard’s rocky cliff face, which still marks time over some of Germany’s most elegant Rieslings.
