Winemaking Named after the majestic Mount Arthur, this Reserve Pinot Noir represents the best of Kahurangi's winemaking in Nelson. The 2023 vintage was hand-harvested, fermented in small lots, and aged in French oak barrels for structure and balance. It’s a wine of fine tannins, lifted aromatics, and graceful length.
Bouquet Red cherry, wild strawberry, and rose petal, with delicate notes of clove, forest floor, and savoury spice. Lightly floral and earthy with beautiful lift.
Palate Silky and medium-bodied with pure red fruit, fine-grained tannins, and gentle oak influence. The finish is long, dry, and refined with subtle layers of spice and mineral.
Food Pairing Ideal with duck, lamb, roast root vegetables, or grilled mushroom dishes. A Pinot that complements both rich and delicate flavours.
Cellaring Drinking well now with a decant, or cellar for 5–7 years to develop more savoury and earthy complexity.
Interesting Fact The Mt Arthur Reserve range is named after one of Nelson’s most iconic landmarks, a nod to the elevation and clarity that defines both the mountain and this finely structured Pinot Noir.
