Kanonkop Kadette Pinotage 2021 is crafted from hand-harvested Pinotage grapes grown in Stellenbosch’s premium vineyards. Traditional open-top fermenters and ageing in seasoned French oak barrels create a wine that blends bold fruit intensity with silky texture and savoury depth, capturing the essence of South Africa’s flagship grape.

Bouquet
Fragrant and lively with aromas of dark cherry, plum, mulberry, mocha, and a hint of smoky spice.

Palate
Medium to full-bodied with juicy black and red fruits, smooth tannins, subtle oak spice, and a long, velvety finish. Rich, approachable, and vibrant.

Food Pairing
Perfect with slow-braised beef ribs, smoky lamb skewers, roasted vegetable lasagne, or a classic boerewors sausage BBQ. Also delicious with aged cheddar.

Cellaring
Drinking beautifully now but will cellar comfortably through to 2027, developing richer savoury complexity.
