Following a precise three-day maceration period, the juice is gently drawn off the skins, resulting in a wine of exceptional depth and character. Post-malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd fill 225L French Nevers oak barrels, imparting delicate hints of nutmeg and wood spice. As you pour, admire the attractive deep plum hue, accompanied by fragrant aromas of red currants, black cherry, and strawberry confit, intertwined with subtle notes of nutmeg and wood spice. On the palate, revel in the medium-full-bodied opulence, with finely textured tannins and flavours of red pastille sweets, bright cherries, and a touch of dark chocolate.
