Winemaking Hunter’s Rosé 2022 is crafted from a blend of Marlborough-grown Pinot Noir and Riesling, harvested during the cooler mornings to preserve freshness. The grapes are gently pressed with minimal skin contact, then cool-fermented in stainless steel to highlight bright fruit and aromatics. The result is a vibrant, dry-style rosé with balance, charm and a touch of Marlborough flair.
Bouquet Fresh and aromatic, with notes of strawberry, red cherry, melon and a touch of citrus blossom. Hints of rosehip and apple add lift and prettiness.
Palate Lively and refreshing, the palate reveals ripe red berry fruit, peach and a whisper of spice. A touch of natural acidity adds balance, leading to a clean, crisp finish with juicy persistence.
Food Pairing Perfect with summer salads, grilled chicken, fresh sushi or soft cheeses. Also lovely with watermelon and feta, or herb-marinated prawns.
Cellaring Best enjoyed now through 2024 while its fruit-forward vibrancy is at its peak.
Interesting Fact Hunter’s Wines was one of the very first wineries to put Marlborough on the world stage—and their rosé continues that legacy, blending tradition with a contemporary, drink-now style.
