Graham’s Fine Tawny Port is crafted using time-honoured methods, blending wines that have been aged in seasoned oak casks for around three years. These wines are selected for their finesse, then blended to highlight the nutty smoothness and golden-amber character that define the Tawny style. Unlike Ruby Ports, this Tawny matures in smaller barrels, allowing for gentle oxidation that brings added complexity and a silky texture.
Bouquet Lifted aromas of dried figs, roasted nuts, and a touch of orange zest are layered with caramel and warming spices. There’s a graceful, honeyed character that hints at its time in wood.
Palate Light-bodied yet flavourful, it delivers mellow notes of sultanas, hazelnuts, and cinnamon. The texture is silky and softly sweet, finishing with a lovely toasted character and a gentle lift of dried citrus.
Food Pairing Serve slightly chilled with a platter of salted nuts, dried apricots, or hard cheeses like pecorino. It also pairs beautifully with Portuguese custard tarts, nut-based pastries, or apple crumble with vanilla cream.
