González Byass Elegante Cream is a traditional cream sherry made by blending dry Oloroso (from Palomino grapes) with naturally sweet Pedro Ximénez. Both components are aged separately in American oak casks using the solera system, then blended and matured further to create a harmonious, velvety wine. The result is a rich, sweet fortified with a smooth mouthfeel and gentle complexity.
Bouquet Generous and inviting with notes of raisin, fig, caramel and toffee. Undertones of walnut, vanilla and a hint of spice add depth and warmth.
Palate Lusciously sweet and silky. Flavours of dried fruit, brown sugar, soft spice and roasted nuts are balanced by mellow acidity. The finish is smooth, long and comforting.
Food Pairing Perfect with sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate, blue cheese or fruitcake. Also lovely with spiced nuts or as a dessert wine on its own.
Cellaring Fully mature on release. Once opened, store in the fridge and enjoy over 4–6 weeks while maintaining freshness and balance.
Interesting Fact Cream sherry was originally developed for the British market, where the style became a favourite for its richness, smoothness and easy-drinking appeal.
