Distillation & Maturation Glen Scotia Double Cask is a single malt whisky from the historic Campbeltown region, matured first in first-fill bourbon barrels and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This dual maturation creates a whisky that balances sweet fruit and spice with a signature maritime edge. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and full of coastal charm, it’s a bold yet refined dram.
Nose Rich and inviting, with aromas of toffee, sultana, sea breeze and vanilla oak. Hints of cinnamon, citrus peel and a touch of brine emerge with time in the glass.
Palate Smooth and warming, the palate shows layers of honeyed stone fruit, caramel, and spiced oak, backed by PX sweetness and a gentle salty lift. The finish is long and lightly smoky, with soft spice and maritime depth.
Food Pairing Perfect with roast pork, blue cheese or salted caramel desserts. Also excellent with grilled seafood or a dark chocolate tart.
Cellaring Drinking beautifully now but will hold its character after opening. A great dram to revisit over time.
Interesting Fact Glen Scotia is one of only three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown—a region once known as the "whisky capital of the world." The Double Cask pays tribute to that legacy with bold flavour and coastal elegance.
