The 2024 Escarpment Rosé is crafted from Pinot Noir grown in Martinborough’s distinctive alluvial soils. Harvested early for freshness, the fruit is gently pressed and fermented cool to preserve delicate aromatics. Minimal intervention in the winery allows purity and texture to shine, resulting in a dry, refined expression of the region’s coastal influence.
Bouquet Bright aromas of wild strawberries, white cherry, and raspberry lead the nose, lifted by a subtle floral note and a hint of white pepper.
Palate Dry and precise, the palate flows with juicy red berries, a lick of citrus zest, and an appealing savoury edge. A touch of creamy texture from time on lees rounds out the mid-palate, while mineral acidity provides structure and length. Beautifully balanced and refreshingly elegant.
Food Pairing A versatile choice with grilled salmon, courgette and feta tart, or a chilled noodle salad with sesame and herbs.
