Dow’s 20 Year Old Tawny Port is a beautifully matured fortified wine aged in seasoned oak casks for an average of two decades. Sourced from top vineyards in the Douro Valley, including Quinta do Bomfim and Senhora da Ribeira, this port undergoes slow oxidative ageing in small barrels in Dow’s Vila Nova de Gaia cellars. Over time, the deep ruby colour softens to amber, while the wine gains layers of complexity and finesse. It’s bottled ready to enjoy and does not require decanting.
Bouquet Seductively aromatic with layers of dried apricot, fig, and date, laced with toasted almond, orange peel, cinnamon, and warm caramel. A touch of vanilla and cedar adds refinement.
Palate Silky and luxurious. A seamless blend of dried fruits, toffee, roasted nuts, and warming spice glides across the palate. Hints of butterscotch, marmalade, and hazelnut are carried by elegant acidity, balancing the sweetness. The finish is long, smooth, and perfectly poised.
Food Pairing Ideal after dinner with hard cheeses like aged Manchego or Comté, roasted nuts, or dried fruit. Also perfect with crème brûlée, pecan pie, or dark chocolate truffles. Serve slightly chilled for best enjoyment.
Cellaring This port is fully matured and ready to drink. Once opened, it will remain fresh for up to 2–3 months if sealed and stored in a cool, dark place.
