Dog Point’s 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is hand-picked from low-cropped, organically grown vines in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and Wairau Plains. After whole bunch pressing, the juice was fermented cool in stainless steel using wild yeasts. The wine remained on lees for several months to build mouthfeel and tension. Made without any fining or filtration, this is a pure, expressive take on Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with textural finesse and ageing potential.
Bouquet Powerful and aromatic with notes of grapefruit, lime zest and lemongrass. Undertones of elderflower, passionfruit and flint add drive and complexity.
Palate Dry and vibrant with electric acidity and a layered, mineral-driven core. Citrus and tropical fruit meet fresh herbs and crushed stone on a taut, saline-edged finish.
Food Pairing Perfect with oysters, fresh goat’s cheese, grilled asparagus or Thai salads. Also excellent with white fish, herbed pasta or vegetable tempura.
Cellaring Drinking well now but will continue to evolve through 2028, gaining savoury depth and texture with time.
