Made from fruit grown on the Inlet Vineyard in Bannockburn, Dicey Riesling 2023 is a pure expression of place and precision. The grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, then fermented slowly with wild yeasts in stainless steel. Left off-dry to balance bright acidity, this wine showcases the clarity and textural elegance that Dicey is known for—crafted with minimal intervention and maximum focus on site.
Bouquet Lively and aromatic with notes of lime zest, white blossom and green apple. Hints of jasmine, honeycomb and wet stone bring added lift and complexity.
Palate Off-dry and finely structured, with zingy acidity and a touch of residual sugar. Flavours of lemon sorbet, mandarin and Granny Smith apple glide over a mineral backbone. The finish is long, taut and refreshingly clean.
Food Pairing Pair with spicy Thai or Vietnamese cuisine, goat’s cheese, grilled seafood or herbed pork. Also a perfect match for fresh salads or Asian-style tofu dishes.
Cellaring Beautifully vibrant now but will reward careful cellaring through 2033, developing honeyed richness and deeper savoury tones.
Interesting Fact Dicey’s Riesling is grown on Bannockburn’s glacially derived soils, bringing a distinct mineral signature that sets it apart from other NZ regions—making it a true Central Otago standout.
