Coopers Creek Select Vineyard Chardonnay 'Plainsman' 2020

Introducing the 2020 Plainsman SV Chardonnay, a harmonious blend comprising 80% Apatu Farms Vineyard fruit and 20% from the Middle Road Vineyard. Harvested during the stunning year of 2020 in Hawkes Bay, this wine embodies the essence of the region's exceptional conditions, delivering fruit of exquisite quality. Following gentle pressing and settling, the juice underwent fermentation and malolactic fermentation in one-year-old and seasoned barrels, followed by maturation on full lees until January 2021. Exhibiting a very pale gold hue in the glass at bottling, which will gracefully deepen over time, this Chardonnay boasts a bouquet teeming with a delightful medley of vanilla, cream, sweet lemon, grapefruit, hazelnut, and subtle oak. On the palate, expect a medium-weight richness, showcasing sweet fruit, beautiful texture, and remarkable length, ensuring an unforgettable tasting experience.
