Château Talbot 2020, a distinguished fourth growth from the Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux, presents a blend dominated by 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 21% Merlot and a touch of 3% Petit Verdot. This vintage showcases the estate's hallmark spicy aromas and silky texture. On the nose, it exudes rich notes of blackcurrant, plum, and subtle hints of cedar and spice. The palate is well-structured, with velvety tannins and layers of dark fruit flavors, underpinned by a refined minerality from the alluvial gravel soils. Aged for approximately 14 months in oak barrels, half of which are new, it reveals delicate nuances of vanilla and toast, adding complexity to its profile.
