Château Rouget 2019 is a stellar example of Pomerol's right bank elegance, crafted predominantly from Merlot (85%) with a touch of Cabernet Franc. This vintage boasts a captivating bouquet of ripe black cherries, plums, and hints of violet, intertwined with notes of spice and mocha from its 18-month aging in oak barrels, one third of which are new. On the palate, it offers a rich and velvety texture, underpinned by the estate's iron-rich sandstone and clay-gravel terroir. The wine reveals layers of dark fruit, licorice, and a touch of minerality, supported by well-integrated tannins that promise excellent aging potential. Château Rouget 2019 reflects the estate's long history and meticulous craftsmanship, overseen by the Labruyère family and renowned consultant Michel Rolland, ensuring a wine of both finesse and complexity.
