Castaño Solanera 2021 is crafted from old vine Monastrell blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha Tintorera, grown in the limestone soils of Yecla, Spain. Aged partly in French oak, this wine showcases the bold fruit concentration, spice, and intensity that make southern Spanish reds so distinctive.
Bouquet Fragrant and rich with ripe blackberry, blueberry, dark plum, and hints of smoky spice and herbs.
Palate Full-bodied and plush with juicy dark fruits, firm yet silky tannins, savoury notes, and a long, spicy finish. Bold yet beautifully balanced.
Food Pairing Perfect with grilled lamb cutlets, spicy beef empanadas, smoky vegetable tagine, or a slow-cooked pork shoulder.
Cellaring Drinking well now but will reward careful cellaring through to 2028 for added complexity and richness.
