Crafted from Muscat à Petits Grains Rouge, this wine is a classic example of the sweet, richly concentrated fortifieds that have made Rutherglen world-famous. Grapes are harvested late for maximum sugar and flavour, partially fermented, then fortified with neutral grape spirit to preserve natural sweetness. Aged in a solera system of old oak barrels, this non-vintage wine is blended across multiple years for complexity, warmth, and richness.
Bouquet
Explosively aromatic, with layers of raisined grape, fig, and toffee, lifted by floral notes of rose petal and orange zest. Hints of cocoa, spice, and caramel swirl beneath the fruit, promising decadence.
Palate
Luscious and full-bodied, with flavours of dried fruits, dark honey, and burnt toffee gliding across a velvet-smooth palate. The sweetness is beautifully offset by freshness and a touch of citrus peel, leading to a long, warming, and deeply satisfying finish.
Food Pairing
Perfect with sticky date pudding, dark chocolate tart, blue cheese, or as a luxurious sip on its own. Also wonderful drizzled over vanilla ice cream or paired with dried fruits and roasted nuts.
Interesting Fact
Rutherglen Muscat is so distinctive, it’s often referred to as "Australia’s unique wine treasure". The style is protected by a classification system ranging from Rutherglen to Rare, and Campbells has been producing it for over 150 years, using barrels that date back generations.
Cellaring
Ready to drink upon release, and can keep for years once opened if stored in a cool, dark place. Unopened bottles will age gracefully for a decade or more, gaining even deeper layers of richness.
