Edetària Selecció Blanc is a flagship white from Terra Alta, crafted exclusively from old-vine Garnacha Blanca grown on the region’s distinctive panal soils—fine, sandy loam formed by ancient windblown sediments. The 2018 vintage is the product of meticulous hand-harvesting, natural fermentation, and ageing in French oak barrels with extended lees contact. This thoughtful winemaking brings out the textural depth and aromatic complexity of Garnacha Blanca while preserving its freshness and minerality.
Bouquet Elegant and distinctive, with aromas of white peach, pear, and almond blossom. Notes of fennel, beeswax, and crushed stones add dimension, along with hints of smoky oak and Mediterranean herbs.
Palate Textured and powerful, yet finely balanced. Flavours of baked apple, lemon peel, and white plum are layered with leesy richness and a savoury mineral backbone. A touch of salinity and gentle oak spice carry through to a long, structured finish. Full of character and terroir expression.
Food Pairing Perfect with grilled octopus, saffron-spiced rice dishes, roasted chicken, or creamy polenta. Also lovely with aged goat’s cheese, seafood paella, or artichoke and almond soup.
Cellaring Drinking beautifully now but will age gracefully through 2028. Cellaring will further enhance its nutty complexity and savoury detail.
