From the heart of South Australia, The Black Chook Sparkling Shiraz is a lively, full-flavoured blend made in the traditional méthode champenoise style. Shiraz grapes are harvested ripe for bold flavour, then fermented and matured in oak before undergoing secondary fermentation in tank to add sparkle. The non-vintage blend ensures consistency, depth, and a richly layered style that’s as fun as it is flavourful.

Bouquet

Vibrant and lifted, the nose offers a rush of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, wrapped in exotic spice, dark chocolate, and just a touch of savoury meatiness. There’s a whiff of pepper and gentle oak char in the background, hinting at the Shiraz pedigree beneath the fizz.

Palate

Rich, ripe, and effervescent, the palate delivers juicy black fruits with a velvety mousse and a fine bead. Notes of liquorice, mocha, and spice round out the mouthfeel, while a hint of residual sweetness balances the savoury elements.
