Distillation & Maturation Crafted at the family-owned Benromach Distillery in Speyside, the 15 Year Old is matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 43% ABV, it’s lightly peated in the traditional Speyside style—offering a balanced whisky with rich fruit, gentle smoke, and classic old-school charm. Non-chill filtered and natural in colour, this is a beautifully crafted single malt with character and depth.
Nose The nose opens with stewed orchard fruit, baked apple and spice cake. Hints of leather, dark chocolate and soft bonfire smoke rise in the background, along with toasted almond and orange peel.
Palate Silky and full-flavoured, the palate reveals dried fruit, sherry richness and nutty malt. Soft peat smoke weaves through notes of cinnamon, oak spice and dark berry compote. Balanced, warming, and wonderfully long on the finish.
Food Pairing Excellent with spiced meats, aged cheddar or dark chocolate. Also pairs well with smoky barbecue, glazed ham, or roasted nuts by the fire.
Cellaring Ready to enjoy now, but will continue to evolve and soften gracefully over time once opened.
Interesting Fact Benromach is one of the few distilleries still making whisky by hand—without automation—and lightly peats its malt to recreate the character of pre-1960s Speyside whisky.
