Crafted by hand at the family-owned Benromach Distillery in Speyside, this 15-year-old single malt is matured in a mix of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks. It’s lightly peated in the traditional Speyside style and bottled at 43% ABV without chill filtration. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky with classic malt richness, soft smoke, and complex oak-driven character.
Bouquet Elegant and expressive. Notes of stewed red fruit, orange zest, and rich sherry mingle with polished oak, leather, and a delicate wisp of smoke.
Palate Smooth and full-flavoured. Flavours of fruitcake, dark chocolate, and warm spice unfold with hints of cinnamon, clove, and soft peat smoke. The finish is long, rounded, and gently drying with a touch of tobacco and citrus oil.
Food Pairing Excellent with roast duck, aged gouda, or dark chocolate. Try it alongside spiced fruitcake or simply enjoy as a slow sipper after dinner.
Cellaring Ready to enjoy now but will keep beautifully in bottle for years. Store upright in a cool, dark place.
Interesting Fact Benromach is one of the few Speyside distilleries still using traditional floor maltings and open flame distillation—producing whisky with genuine character and a nod to old-world methods.
