Beach House Levels Chardonnay 2021

Discover the debut of the Levels Chardonnay, a true labour of love from the renowned Gunn family vineyard on Ohiti Road, spotlighting the coveted 548 clone of Chardonnay. Hand-harvested with care on the 25th and 26th of February, only the pristine "free run" juice earned its place in our distinguished 'Levels' range, maturing gracefully in handpicked French oak barrels (35% new) through primary and secondary malolactic fermentation. Utilising a blend of 'Wild' and 'Inoculated' yeast, Beach House crafted a wine of unparalleled depth and intrigue. Bursting with lively stone fruit flavours, delicately balanced by brioche notes from fermentation, and rounded off with the gentle spice of fine French oak. Vintage 2021 bestowed us with exceptional grapes, and this Chardonnay is the ultimate testament to that greatness – a captivating expression of Hawke's Bay at its finest.
