Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir 2023 is crafted from younger vines across Ata Rangi’s celebrated Martinborough vineyards. Hand-harvested and wild fermented, it is matured in French oak to preserve its vibrant fruit character and youthful energy. Crimson was created to support Project Crimson, a conservation trust dedicated to protecting New Zealand’s native pōhutukawa and rātā trees.
Bouquet Fragrant and lively with aromas of raspberry, red cherry, rose petals, and hints of thyme and spice.
Palate Bright and silky with juicy red berry fruits, subtle savoury notes, soft tannins, and a refreshing, elegant finish that carries energy and finesse.
Food Pairing Lovely with grilled lamb wraps, baked eggplant parmigiana, a simple tomato and mozzarella salad, or pan-fried salmon with lemon butter. Also delicious alongside a mild soft cheese.
Cellaring Best enjoyed now for freshness but will drink well through to 2028. A light decant can enhance its lovely floral notes.
Interesting Fact Crimson is more than just a wine—it supports New Zealand’s Project Crimson, helping to restore native forests and protect endangered tree species across Aotearoa.
