Crafted from estate-grown fruit in Central Otago, this 2023 Pinot Gris was harvested over a focused seven-day window. Early-picked parcels were cool-fermented in stainless steel to capture purity, while riper lots were fermented in large-format French oak for added depth and texture. The wine rested on light lees for five months to build mouthfeel and complexity.
Bouquet The nose is elegant and floral, revealing aromas of nashi pear, white peach, red apple, and hints of cardamom and clove.
Palate Juicy stonefruit glides across the palate with silken texture and a gentle touch of sweetness. Subtle spice and signature Pisa minerality give balance and lift, finishing long and clean.
Food Pairing An excellent companion to grilled pork tenderloin with apricot glaze, creamy mushroom risotto, or a Central Otago venison tataki. It also pairs gracefully with Thai green curry or Vietnamese summer rolls.
Interesting Fact Amisfield is based in the Pisa subregion of Central Otago and is known for its dedication to organic principles and minimal intervention winemaking.
