A classic blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Jaen, Milénio comes from the highland vineyards of Portugal’s Dão region. Grown on granitic soils at altitude, the grapes ripen slowly, giving the wine a natural elegance and lift. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and matured partly in oak, this is a modern take on a traditional Portuguese style—refined, expressive, and deeply drinkable.
Bouquet
Fresh and aromatic, with lifted notes of wild blackberry, blueberry, and a touch of cherry compote. Hints of violet, clove, and earthy spice sit beneath the fruit, giving a layered and inviting nose.
Palate
Silky and balanced, with juicy black fruit, smooth tannins, and a streak of acidity that keeps things lively. Flavours of dark plum, subtle oak spice, and crushed herbs lead into a long, savoury finish with a faint mineral edge.
Food Pairing
Lovely with grilled lamb, Portuguese chouriço, or a wild mushroom and thyme pie. Also works well with firm cheeses and Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
Interesting Fact
The Dão is considered one of Portugal’s noble red wine regions, and was historically used to blend into Port before earning its own recognition for still wines—many of which now rival top reds from Bordeaux or the Douro.
Cellaring
Drinking beautifully now, but can age for 5–6 years, developing earthy, savoury layers and softer tannins over time.
