Mumm Marlborough Brut Prestige NV is made in the méthode traditionnelle, blending Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from select vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. The base wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and is aged on lees for 18 months to develop texture, complexity, and a refined mousse. The winemaking is overseen by Mumm’s Champagne team, bringing French precision to a proudly New Zealand-grown wine.
Bouquet Fresh and vibrant with aromas of citrus blossom, green apple and white peach. Subtle layers of brioche, almond and crushed shell add depth and finesse.
Palate Dry and elegant with a creamy mousse and fine bubbles. Flavours of lemon curd, pear and baked pastry are lifted by a clean line of acidity and a touch of salinity. The finish is crisp, refreshing and sophisticated.
Food Pairing A versatile match for oysters, fresh seafood, creamy cheeses or canapés. Also perfect as an aperitif or with tempura, sushi or summer salads.
Cellaring Best enjoyed now for its freshness, but will hold well for 1–2 years. Serve well chilled.
Interesting Fact Though Mumm is famous for its Champagne, this Marlborough sparkling showcases the brand’s commitment to terroir-driven winemaking outside France, with grapes grown and vinified entirely in New Zealand.
