Rugged, wild, and beautiful, much like the Central Otago landscape it hails from, ‘Razorback’ is a Pinot of purity, elegance, and structure. Sourced from a single Clutha vineyard in the Cromwell Basin, with small parcels from Clyde and Alexandra, this is a handcrafted wine that speaks clearly of place and precision.

Medium garnet in colour with a red-edged rim, the nose opens with violet, red cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle tamarillo. Underneath lies almond, sweet spice, and a whisper of oak. The palate is silky yet structured, offering masses of juicy fruit mid-palate wrapped in polished, fine-grained tannins. A lingering, velvety finish rounds out this very classy Pinot.

Winemaking included cool ferments with daily plunging, followed by extended maceration and 10 months in French oak (well integrated and subtle). This is already drinking beautifully but will evolve gracefully over the next few years.
