Sourced from Akitu’s high-altitude vineyard in Wanaka, Central Otago, the 2021 A1 Pinot Noir is crafted with precision and minimal intervention. Fermented with a portion of whole bunches and matured in French oak, including a proportion of new barrels, this wine reflects its alpine origins with clarity and finesse.

Bouquet
Aromatic layers of red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, complemented by notes of rose petal, cinnamon and subtle forest floor. Hints of cedar and dried herbs emerge as the wine opens, adding depth and intrigue.

Palate
Medium-bodied and finely structured, the palate offers a harmonious blend of ripe red fruits, earthy undertones and well-integrated tannins. A vibrant acidity provides freshness, leading to a long, elegant finish with a touch of spice.
